Shion started playing music when she was very young. All of her family enjoyed playing and listening to music, so she was naturally influenced. Shion taught herself piano, flute, vibraphone and drums. She played with some small groups and bands for about 10 years, and performed in England doing a piano/vocal job. Also, Shion has taught music for Yuka Kamebuti’s vocal class at Ann Jazz School for 5 years.
 
Shion is a well-experienced, professional vocalist and keyboardist. During her performances, she sometimes also uses a keyboard she’s programmed along with her playing and singing with other members.
 
Throughout her career, Shion was much influenced by many bands and solo artists. Some of them are : Stevie Wonder, Roberta Flack, Babyface, Patti Austin, Michael Franks, etc., etc. . . .
 
Currently, Shion is performing in and around Tokyo. She is making her original sound for CD-ROM. It is called “Future Original”. It is available from some designer’s boutiques, or clubs in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, New York, or L.A.​
